When the storm breaks, grab the Chilkats and head to the hills! The workhorse of the Fairweather fleet, the Chilkat is a sturdy, mid-fat design loaded with spruce, birch and carbon fiber for everyday backcountry use or powder days at the resort.

The Chilkat Valley straddles the boundary between the moist maritime climate of Glacier Bay and the cold arctic interior of the Yukon. When this ferocious weather collides with the steep peaks of the Chilkat range, spines, flutes and terrain features form like nowhere else on earth. The Chilkat is a high performance mid-fat design inspired by these features and built for the demands of the wilderness.

Our flagship ski, the Chilkats are lightweight, sturdy and reliable. The ideal ski for touring distant peaks at the pass or first chair at the resort, these boards like to be ridden hard. Hybrid carbon construction and a laminated spruce/birch core keep the weight down and the stiffness up compared to other skis in its class.

The Chilkats are topped with an original woodblock print graphic by Fairbanks artist Klara Maisch on a local birds-eye-hemlock veneer.
